Mumbai London AF Clinic

The best ablation is the one doneby experienced hands.

Professor Dr Dhiraj Gupta is one of the most experienced and highly regarded cardiac electrophysiologists globally. Over a span of 25 years in the UK, he has performed more than 10,000 catheter ablations, and has pioneered several advances in AF ablation with both radiofrequency (RF) and pulsed field ablation (PFA) technology.

Dr Gupta now sees patients and performs ablation procedures in Mumbai, and promises the same excellent outcomes as in the United Kingdom.

First in India · 14 August 2026 · Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai

India's first combined pulsed field ablation and left atrial appendage occlusion.

A 77-year-old who could not take blood thinners had his rhythm treated and his appendage sealed in one 90-minute procedure at Lilavati Hospital. Two weeks on, the device was well seated and he was in normal rhythm.

Since undergoing the procedure, he has regained his confidence to get back to his routine and enjoy life without the same constant fear. It has given him and all of us a new sense of hope.

Meet the rest of the team.

Professor Gupta leads every case and performs every procedure himself. Between his Mumbai visits, two consultants at Lilavati Hospital hold the clinic: a father and son whose practice in the city goes back to 1979. They see you, read your recordings, adjust what needs adjusting, and put anything that needs his decision in front of him.
